The Store Equipment & Design Representative II is a full-time position that will be responsible for assisting in the coordination, planning, and designing of equipment needs for our customers. This could involve creating from-the-ground-up blueprints to serving as a liaison between customer and vendor, or everything else in between; every day is different, just like the needs of our customers.
Associated Grocers of New England is looking for someone with a Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of experience with retail equipment or store décor and displays, as this individual will be working closely with the Store Equipment & Design Manager to assist in the development and design of store equipment and fixture layout plans. Additionally, this position is involved in the development of equipment sales promotions, programs and marketing materials, proposals and purchase orders. Offering excellent customer service when advising customers on available services, pricing and fees and keep abreast of market and product developments is imperative. Other essential functions of the job include generating reports regarding customer purchase trends and inventory related concerns, making recommendations for inventory corrections or product selections, and maintaining a database of information for proposals, purchase orders, and invoicing.
Additional job requirements include the possession of a valid driver’s license and strong interpersonal and communication skills; building rapport with vendors and customers alike is paramount in this position. The right candidate will also have strong organizational skills and experience compiling data into spreadsheets and using invoicing software. Training or experience with CAD software is preferred.
