POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intake Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all adult volunteers and potential adult volunteers are properly vetted and documented in our database. This includes the processing of the necessary state background checks, documentation of required trainings, database upkeep and the communication of volunteer approvals.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Participates in the daily processing, recording and maintenance of volunteer background checks
  2. Ensures the proper documentation and recording of necessary position trainings.
  3. In conjunction with the Member Placement Specialist team maintains data integrity of customer records in Salesforce computing system.
  4. Assist customers via phone and email with questions regarding their intake status.
  5. Communicate via phone and email with customers regarding their approval or non-approval as a volunteer.
  6. Answers questions and resolves problems appropriate to inquires resulting in the intake of new volunteers and reinforces customer’s decision to join Girl Scouts. Has decision making authority in regards to the placement of girls, the conversion of adults and the placement of adults into roles. 
  7. Prepares a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  8. As a part of the Mission Delivery team ensures up to date and accurate data in our Salesforce database. Maintains, updates and audits database as necessary. 
  9. Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure on going effective delivery of the recruitment and placement strategies.
  10. Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.
  11. Promotes and assists with Council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ experience in sales, recruiting, or marketing experience.
· Proven customer service experience preferred.· 
· Excellent technical computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and customer relationship management systems or other data tracking systems.
· Belief in the Mission of GSGWM, persistence, and the ability to listen.
· Become a registered Girl Scout member.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Position can be Regular full-time schedule, Part-time schedule or a job sharing position. Basic hours will be established within the guidelines of Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. time frame. Hours are flexible and some evening or weekend hours may be required, with notice, during peak recruitment seasons. Will require flexible scheduling of work and travel time to accommodate district/Council-wide staff meetings and trainings.
 
Position does provide the ability to offer a telecommuting option during times throughout the year. This would be negotiated/decided between the employee and supervisor as needed.
