Defense Account Manager

LTC Partners is seeking an Account Manager for Defense Agencies to serve as a liaison to all branches of the U.S. Military across the nation. This person is preferably a U.S. Military retiree, veteran, or currently serving member of the National Guard or Reserves.
The engagement focus is on service members about to retire, military retirees, and family members with the intent to inform them about the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program and the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program. Both Federal programs provide valuable benefits to the military communities.
The ability to build enduring relationships and clearly and effectively present in front of military audiences, including retirees and spouses is essential. A strong desire to assist and support the military community, particularly military families, is at the very core of this position.
This person is responsible for in-person education and outreach with DOD Benefits Officers/HR/Trainers/Retiree Services Officers-- developing and implementing tailored marketing plans and ongoing relationship maintenance. Responsibilities also include rolling out any new product or program to the Defense community.
Due to the size of the Defense community, this person must research and identify the best educational markets and ROI opportunities, while continuously growing our contact database for electronic outreach. Day-to-day focus will be on relationship development and management, electronic education, with some onsite seminar presentations.
Preferred requirements: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience in Account Management/Sales, preferably in insurance/benefits. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of military benefits such as TRICARE, TRICARE for Life, and the VA’s benefits for long term care. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of military benefits distribution channels, e.g., Army Benefits Center, Rapids Centers, etc. Data analysis skills are necessary to hone marketing plans. Experience preparing and presenting materials (one-on-one, seminars) to clients. Exceptional proficiency in the MS Office suite, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as CRM database management. Ability to travel as required.
This position involves travel throughout the Unites States, as approximately 25% of time (annualized) is spent conducting educational seminars and meeting key federal contacts throughout the country. Travel during peak times of Federal outreach (e.g., fall health fair season) while temporary, may be higher.
