We are seeking a Machinist to join our dynamic tool shop.  Experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment required.  The responsibilities of Machinist include: 

  • Produce tooling to design specifications and tolerances within budgeted cost and due dates.  Proven skill in the use of all basic machine tools in a manual shop environment.
  • Repair damaged tooling and production machinery.  Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and determining cause of failure required.
  • Run production parts on CNC machines requiring knowledge of machine setup and ability to read drawings.
  • Perform other machining and related duties. 

Candidates must be experienced and fully trained in using basic machine tools, including but not limited to vertical mills, lathes, surface grinders, inspection gaging and support equipment such as tool grinders, saws and presses.  In addition, candidates will be able to independently perform set ups on all equipment including vises, sine plates and machining fixtures both general and custom.

 

The ability to read drawings from prints and CAD, create set ups and work closely with engineering requirements with minimal supervision is required.  A commitment to high quality standards and a high degree of reliability are musts for this position. 

Hours:  M – F,  7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
