Position Summary

Perform proofreading tasks for all grade levels of test forms and materials to ensure clarity and grammatical correctness, and to conform to house styles. Review manuals and other documents for clarity, fidelity to other documents, and grammatical correctness. Proofread, interpretation guides, summary reports, proposals and other publications. (Please note, this is not a freelance opportunity.) 

* Proofread test forms, manuals, and answer documents, following department guidelines and professional publishing standards.
* Perform mechanicals checks on test forms during production rounds.
* Copy match output against originals.
* Participate in proofreading rounds from desktop publishing through release to printers while conforming to scheduled deadlines.
* Conduct quality control checks on final drafts and printers' proofs.
* Proofread and participate in internal review of proposals, new documentation, and miscellaneous literature.
* Adhere to style manuals.
* Perform light copyediting on materials as assigned.
