Technical Support Supervisor

Job Description
Laconia Savings Bank is seeking candidates for the newly created role of Technical Support Supervisor to provide hands-on supervision and direction for the daily activities of the Bank's Desktop Support function, as well as provide senior level technical support for the bank's telephone system, cell phones and voice/data systems.  
 
Primary duties include the mentoring and support of help desk personnel through technical guidance and monitoring of assigned projects and general network, software and system technical concerns.  This supervisor will be an active participant in the daily, weekly and monthly operational responsibilities of the department, and will provide assistance in prioritizing and expediting user requests for technical support. 
 
Additional functions include senior level hardware and software support to users of computers, phones and/or branch office servers that includes installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of issues including contact with vendors for support and resolution as necessary.  
 
Also included are the administration of Help Desk and Telephony supporting systems as well as some system administrative duties.  
 
Experience with ITI/Fiserv Financial applications or other competitive financial applications is desired.  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and other off-hours shifts as necessary is required.  Additional qualifications are listed below.

Location Notes:This position will primarily work in our Operations Center in Gilford, but will also be required to travel to other branch locations as business necessitates.
Job Requirements

Qualified applicants will possess 5-10 years of experience working in a Help desk support role, or an equivalent combination of formal education in IT disciplines and 4 years of experience in a similar technical service/support function in a supervisory capacity.    

 

Previous supervisory experience, including staff selection, training and development is necessary.  Ability to adjust priorities frequently and interface effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization is also required. 

 

Applicants must have physical ability to lift 50 pounds, as well as to reach out-of-the-way cable hookups and work in service access areas of equipment closets.  A valid driver's license, clean driving record and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage is also required.

Education Requirements
Formal education in Information Technology is preferred. Siemens Telephony Certification, Microsoft Certifications (MCSE or other network related discipline) or study toward same is highly advantageous.
